Britta Wulf is a Montana-based graphic designer and digital artist.

Like many artists, Britta’s venture couldn’t quite be labeled as “standard.” Though having begun taking weekly art classes at age of 12 and developing a deep love for painting, Britta ultimately decided to pursue a career as a physical therapist. That said, after an acceptance to physical therapy school and a classic “quarter-life crisis” led her to deciding that it wasn’t a fit for her.

It was then, when Britta purchased her first drawing tablet. Her first completed digital painting came shortly after. While she’ll humbly tell you that the painting was quite bad, she knew that it was the start of a career that she’d thoroughly enjoy. Unlike other tangible mediums, digital painting allows for more experimentation and additionally held an environment that was positive to errors. Upon learning this, Britta engulfed herself into striving for a career in this field. With time and determination, she became efficient in Photoshop and Procreate through self teachings and classes from the University of Montana.

Generally speaking, Britta seeks to paint individuals within their natural elements. Being in Missoula, this tends to lead to experimenting more with outdoor activities such as climbing, biking, paragliding, or any of the other handful of activities that Missoula has to offer. Luckily, she still manages to find models that engulf themselves within activities unrelated to the outdoors to maintain an inclusive style of art that she finds herself striving for.

When not painting, you’ll possibly find Britta setting routes at Freestone Climbing Center; slipping on loose dirt while biking Deanstone; paragliding above Mt. Sentinel; or being pulled around by her girlfriend’s dogs, Staphylococcus & George.

Britta is currently accepting commission requests for digital portraits and landscapes, as well as graphic designs.
